Meet our Secretary, Tami Overly and our Parent Advocate Bob Overly:

We are a homeschooling, Christian family that has been blessed with two amazing sons. Both of them have been diagnosed with Autism, Tourettes Syndrome as well as other Special Needs. Over the years we have watched with heavy hearts the struggles and challenges our sons face on a daily basis. That being said we have also been witness to the great achievments we know our boys are capable of with the right tools.

One of our main goals has always been to provide our children with the best quality of life possible. However, we are finding the older they get the more difficult this becomes. We feel that not only our children but anyone with Autism or other Special Needs deserve to have HOPES and DREAMS for the FUTURE just as anyone else. NCCALL, Inc. offers that HOPE by providing unlimited creative opportunities that help to foster independence and a feeling of self worth.  When given the right tools and support people with Autism have so much to offer our community.

As Secretary I bring to NCCALL, Inc. a wealth of experience having dealt with Autism for the past fifteen years. Previously being an Activity Director for Nursing and Rehab Facilities, I have extensive education in the Geriatric field. I was a member of the Care Plan Team working with Families, Nursing, Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapies helping stroke victims and other disabilities improve their overall quality of life.  I was also trained in event planning, speaking publicly and in charge of all community communication. Faith is a very important part of our life. I have volunteered at our church for the past eight years teaching, assisting and advocating for special needs.

We feel very strongly the need to advocate for our sons as well as others with ASD. We appreciate the opportunity to participate on the Board for NCCALL, Inc.
