NCCALL, Inc.

North Carolina Creative Autistic Living and Learning

Hello, my name is Brandi Rutan and I will be serving as the presiding President for NCCALL, Inc. I am excited about this opportunity and the mission and vision of what NCCALL, Inc. means. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Western Carolina University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. I am currently pursuing my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology through Walden University as well as my clinical licensure. I am a qualified developmental disability and mental health professional. My passion is working with individuals with Autism and trying to create an environment that motivates the autistic individual in what they are interested in rather than settling for simply getting by. My experience is working with Autistic adults and children through art, music, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), and other experiential methods for the overall benefit of the Autistic individual. My other experience is through writing and implementing behavior plans to assist the parent/caregiver with their children and providing support in crisis situations. I also bring experience in providing individual and family counseling within the mental health and developmental disabilities framework. I currently work in the realm of Therapeutic Foster Care in Western North Carolina.

I am happily married to my husband, Mike, and have two wonderful young children, Seth and Addison. My family is very supportive of this opportunity and is very involved with this organization as well.  My husband has a master’s degree in business and has provided bookkeeping and now is a business consultant for NCCALL, Inc.  He also works as a Qualified Professional with adult men with developmental disabilities and mental illness in western NC.
